Backyard Bubbles

The weather is finally starting to change. We spent a lovely afternoon in our backyard chasing bubbles, looking at clouds, and enjoying the not-scorching weather.

Isaac was still napping, so Elijah had the bubbles all to himself.

And Olivia found the lid.

Now he's trying to catch the bubbles with his mouth.
Found one!
What are these things, Mom?

Isaac woke up!
Elijah kept getting rose petals and pretending to be a football player.
Bubbles!

Love Isaac's eyebrows here. That is excitement!

And finally Daddy came home!

The Ranch

Julie and I decided to meet up at my parents last weekend. It was so fun to see each other and the Lazy R Ranch (as my dad calls their house) is the perfect place for our boys to explore. Of course, we were excited to get the baby girls together too.
The cowgirls.

My parent's neighbors always have a couple cows. I think it's Isaac's favorite thing about The Ranch. He's yelling, "Moo! Moo!"

Grandma spoils us with good food and yummy desserts!
And hot chocolate every morning! It's actually below 100 degrees at The Ranch, and actually quite chilly in the mornings. Maybe it really is fall after all.
Jude has an iPad. My kids are all mesmerized.
I took the boys on a little walk. We saw horses, goats, sheep, dogs, stink bugs, more cows, chickens, geese...
And deer! And all we had to do was walk down the street!

Life

Life happens, especially when you have plans. Like going to a friend's baby shower, or looking forward to an evening watching new shows with your husband, or taking family pictures in a week. Life tends to make a mark at these times. Tonight, when I had all these plans, this is the mark life made on Elijah's face. I heard the scream as I had one hand on the door headed to the baby shower. I guess he tumbled off my bed and met the nightstand on the way down. When life happens, plans change. And mommy and daddy get lots if snuggles. He's a tough kid, though. And he liked playing Doc McStuffins with mommy.

Little Livvy Lou

Olivia is six months old! How did that happen? At least she is staying tiny to I can pretend like she is still my teeny tiny brand new baby (which she mostly is, six months isn't that long). I've taken to calling her Little Livvy Lou, so she now has a nickname. Or, as Eli tells his friends, Princess Olivia because she's a pretty princess.

Height 25 1/4 in
Weight 14 lb 5 oz

Despite being tiny, she is trying to keep up with her brothers. She's not just rolling but fully scooting (like army crawling) all around the house. She's also started to say "mama" so now she crawls around to get me saying "mama mama" over and over. It's adorable. She's sleeping in her crib in her own room, and she's sleeping through the night! She'll wake up around 6am and has even started to sleep until 7! Best. Baby. Ever!

No teeth yet, but she sure chews on her fingers like crazy. Also, now that she is past the six month mark she is starting to like Mike a lot more. She also still fits I to the 0-3 month onesie I've been using to take monthly pics of her in! She's long but tiny, and I'm thinking of getting her 6-9 month clothes out just because I am tired if the same outfits all the time, not because she has actually outgrown anything.

The only thing she's sort of outgrown are her pajamas, and that's because she's wearing a home into the tie of them. She mainly scoots using her left foot, so the seam has split in some of her PJs and now her "tiny little piggy" (as Eli calls it) is poking out.

Speaking of her little piggies. One of her favorite things to do is suck on her toes. She is always grabbing her feet and sticking her big toe in her mouth. I wonder if she likes it more than her thumb?

Olivia is not lacking in love or attention. Her big brothers love her so much! And she loves them too. They both just adore her and smother her in hugs and kisses. The feeling is mutual as she lights up with smiles and giggles whenever she sees her brothers.

Still wearing the 0-3 month onesie!

"Mama mama! Mama mama!"

Trying sweet potatoes, her first baby food other than rice cereal.

This is her trying pears. Different night, same outfit.
