My Baby Blessing

This past Sunday, 5/31, Daddy gave me a name and a blessing at church. We did it on this Sunday instead of a Fast Sunday so that Grandma and Grandpa Cox could be there as well. They came up on Thursday and stayed at our house until Monday--so this was perfect timing. There was a lot of family that came up to see me and hear the blessing: all of Daddy's family except Uncle Leon; for Mommy's family there was Grandma and Grandpa Romney, Aunt Julie, and cousin Bridget who all came down from Chino Valley, and of course Aunt Melanie and her family.

Daddy did a great job with the blessing, and we could all feel the warmth of the Spirit on this day. I was blessed with an inquisitive mind to be able to learn and understand things, the ability to discern the gifts of the spirit that I have been given and to use them, as well as the emotional strength to get through the challenges that I will face in life. I have a very loving Daddy here on Earth, and a wonderful Heavenly Father who both are doing so much to help me grow up happy and strong.

It was a wonderful, spiritual day for me and my family.
