Little Livvy Lou

Olivia is six months old! How did that happen? At least she is staying tiny to I can pretend like she is still my teeny tiny brand new baby (which she mostly is, six months isn't that long). I've taken to calling her Little Livvy Lou, so she now has a nickname. Or, as Eli tells his friends, Princess Olivia because she's a pretty princess.

Height 25 1/4 in
Weight 14 lb 5 oz

Despite being tiny, she is trying to keep up with her brothers. She's not just rolling but fully scooting (like army crawling) all around the house. She's also started to say "mama" so now she crawls around to get me saying "mama mama" over and over. It's adorable. She's sleeping in her crib in her own room, and she's sleeping through the night! She'll wake up around 6am and has even started to sleep until 7! Best. Baby. Ever!

No teeth yet, but she sure chews on her fingers like crazy. Also, now that she is past the six month mark she is starting to like Mike a lot more. She also still fits I to the 0-3 month onesie I've been using to take monthly pics of her in! She's long but tiny, and I'm thinking of getting her 6-9 month clothes out just because I am tired if the same outfits all the time, not because she has actually outgrown anything.

The only thing she's sort of outgrown are her pajamas, and that's because she's wearing a home into the tie of them. She mainly scoots using her left foot, so the seam has split in some of her PJs and now her "tiny little piggy" (as Eli calls it) is poking out.

Speaking of her little piggies. One of her favorite things to do is suck on her toes. She is always grabbing her feet and sticking her big toe in her mouth. I wonder if she likes it more than her thumb?

Olivia is not lacking in love or attention. Her big brothers love her so much! And she loves them too. They both just adore her and smother her in hugs and kisses. The feeling is mutual as she lights up with smiles and giggles whenever she sees her brothers.

Still wearing the 0-3 month onesie!

"Mama mama! Mama mama!"

Trying sweet potatoes, her first baby food other than rice cereal.

This is her trying pears. Different night, same outfit.

Isaac is TWO!

Sweet little Isaac turned two! Part of me can't believe it...and part of me can't believe he's only two. He loves watching and learning from his big brother, and sometimes I forget just how little Isaac is still. Here are his two-year-old stats:

Height: 34 inches
Weight:  25 lb 8 oz

Isaac is turning into a little chatter box, and one of his favorite things to do is sing, which he's pretty good at. I'll hear him singing songs he's learned in nursery and I love that he knows the tune, the words, and often the actions. One of his favorites is "Happy Family" but he also loves the classics like "Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam" and "Popcorn Popping". He also sings the ABCs a lot and a little "bump, bump, bubba bump" tune that like his own song he made up. He sings that one all the time as he's wandering around the house playing with things. Isaac loves cars, and he especially loves the Mater's Toons movie. That's one of his favorites. He also loves choo-choos (Chuggington) and asks to watch that most mornings...when he wakes up so early that I'm not ready to get up. He is sleeping through the night (wahoo!) as long as you count sleeping until 5 am as sleeping through the night. He actually got better in the summer, but now that the sun is coming up later he is getting up earlier. Sometiems as early as 4:30am, and thinks he's ready to play! Part of the problem is that he is attached to his binky and baba (bottle) while sleeping. So if his binky falls out of his crib or his bottle runs out of water, he comes to get me. He has been climbing out of his crib for several months now, but we just haven't converted it to a toddler bed yet. I think he likes his crib too, once he will stay in it to sleep. And he does love sleeping so much that he will asks for naps when he is tired, which is kind of awesome. For his birthday we had a little bbq on Saturday before his bday and had aunts (Melanie and Carol) and cousins here. Isaac got a cool interactive Chuggington track with a couple of the trains, which he and Eli love to play with together. And, of course, this sweet-toothed sweetie had a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and peanut butter M&Ms for decorate. He is my little boy, after all, and we love us some M&Ms and peanut butter! Yes, he is still a bit of a picky eater, but he's never met a chocolate he didn't like. He's discovered chocolate milk, and I made the mistake of buying chocolate syrup to make it, so he asks for it ALL. THE. TIME. (Asks...demands...it's a fine line between the two with him and his sweet tooth.) But, he seems healthy and happy and we love him to pieces!

He loved having everyone sing Happy Birthday to him!

For his birthday we took the kids to go see the new Planes movie. It was Isaac's first real movie in a theater (He's been to a couple as a baby.) It was a Monday morning and the theater was empty except for one other family, which was a good thing because, while they liked the movie, the boys got tired of sitting still and began running through the theater. Thaaaat's right, that's why we never take them to movies.
Isaac's prime seating on Daddy's lap.

He was amazed at the giant screen and noises for the first 20 minutes or so, then he got wiggly.
Keith and Barbara had come down and met up with us for the movie, so we went for a pizza lunch after as well. Isaac may be picky about some things, but he does love pizza! Mmm...Grimaldi's!
Little Olivia's first time in a high chair!

Don't forget, Eli was there too!

The birthday boy and his birthday daddy with matching purple shirts. He was ready for a nap by this point.

Happy Birthday Daddy-O!

Mike turned the big 4-5 this year(and Eli asked if he was going to grow bigger for his bday), but we didn't have a big party. I got him a new BBQ grill for his birthday (charcoal of course) but I ordered it early and he got it a month ago. We did finally use it to grill some steaks (farm fresh from my parent's neighbor'a cows), but even with that we did the celebrating on Sunday, the day before his birthday. On his bday I had the kids surprise him with new cars they picked out for him at the store, and we had a fantastic chocolate dulce de leche cake which Mel and girls enjoyed with us.

Isaac was being so cute eating the birthday cake.

First Day of School!

Eli started Pre-K on August 14. He was so excited to go back to preschool. He had been asking all summer when he can go back to school and see Ms. Nicole and all his friends. He was a little bummed that Claire won't be there with him since she is a grade younger. But he still loves going and is so happy and excited to go to school three times a week now!

When I asked Eli what he wants to be when he grows up he said, "Um...I don't know. I don't think I want to do that."

Cousins

Julie sent me this picture of Nora the other night so I promptly stripped Olivia and plopped her in the bumbo. Olivia is a month older. These two girls are so opposite right now!

Super Kids

Eli went in time out the other day and four minutes later Spider-Man came out. He was certain Isaac needed to be Superman, so I had two superheroes running around. Eli wore his costume all day, even during his nap and on a trip to the ice cream store. He's been wearing his costume every day for the last couple days now.

This is how Spider-Man shoots his web.

August Snapshots

One crazy summer.
Chocolate goatee!

Eli fell asleep on the couch and it struck me that he won't be a little boy forever, so I wanted to capture his littleness here, sucking his thumb and snuggling his PoohBear.

Ice cream!

Little thumb sucker.

Trying to climb into sisters bed. Almost made it!

Isaac trying to carry (push) Olivia out to the garage so we can get in the car.

Eli decided he can help, too!

They got her to the garage door!

This is the greenbelt by our house, and that is a coyote between the trees. He was in the foreground but ran back by the trees before I could get my phone out to take a pic. A coyote!

I was having a bad day. Isaac wanted to help me make some pita bread.

After a series of unforunate events, the pita bread exploded all over the kitchen, and all over me and Isaac.

My bad day didn't get any better.

She prefers cars over baby toys.

Crawled past the baby toy to get to the car.

Dance party with ClaireBear!

Look at those dance moves!

Scripture time. They all have to play cars.

I still get baby snuggles from this guy.

Eli had me help him make this cool jump with blocks and his race tracks. It was a lot of fun!

Eli filled up his Good Choices jar and earned this giant Jake and the Neverland Pirates coloring book.

The Good Choices jar.

Isaac got stuck. I got my camera. Then I helped him out.

Trying out Isaac's carseat. She likes it!

Cars!

Our three adorable kids on Eli's first day of school.

Olivia loves playing with Claire!

Best friends forever. Eli asks every day to play with ClaireBear.

Sitting!

That's not a baby in the baby swing!

Boy snuggles with Mommy!

She NEVER falls asleep with me holding her, so I had to snap a pic.

Mommy's trying to get back into shape. This is often my view.

This little trooper went on a mile and a half bike ride in 90 degree heat. He is awesome!

What life at the store is like for me. That's why I don't ever go to the store. Or anywhere.

Olivia crawling/scooting around the house for the first time. Eli wanted to play with her too.

He got her to scoot/crawl into her room to play!

Sweet moment with the babies playing together.

This is where I put Olivia one day as I was trying to get ready for church. Worked perfectly!

Ready to really crawl!

Poor baby has her first cold.

He likes to say he doesn't take naps anymore. But one day I was reading a chapter book to him and he snuggled up like this and feel asleep. Awesome.
